Sound as a City Maker
The results of the Crowdsourcing Mr. Visserplein project were presented during a seminar at the Reinwardt Academy’s Heritage Arena, using an exhibition, an audio walk across the Mr Visserplein and a series of lectures.

Speakers from the Netherlands and abroad explained the project from different perspectives. Participants also discussed how the results can contribute to new urban planning practices.

The seminar’s central question was: how do you build a place that sounds good? Residents and users of a space often have essential information about their everyday environment. The purpose of Crowdsourcing Mr. Visserplein was to develop a method which allows local experts to assess an urban space by listening.
