Live audio stream from VTV Frankendael

Driemond, Amsterdam
Soundtrackcity will provide a live audio stream from Frankendael, an allotment site on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

This year, Soundtrackcity will once again participate in REVEIL with a streaming box from Radio Earth on 3 and 4 May.
REVEIL is a relay of audio streams during sunrise on the first weekend of May, allowing you to take a 24-hour listening tour around the world. This year, REVEIL will be organised for the 12th time.

In 2024, Soundtrackcity provided a live audio stream from Westkreuz, Berlin. This year, Soundtrackcity will provide a live audio stream from VTV Frankendael, an allotment garden near the former village of Driemond, on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

The allotment is quite wild and very biodiverse. It functions as a refugium for plants and animals who do not stand a chance in the surrounding areas dominated by human infrastructure, agro-industrial desertification and urbanisation. The allotment garden community borders at the Amsterdam-Rijn canal, one of the busiest ship routes in the Netherlands. At the other side is a vast planned (man-made) nature area that suffers from artificially maintained low groundwater level and excessive nitrogen deposit. Undergrowth is boring, mostly brambles and nettles. By contrast the biodiversity of the allotment is a breath of fresh air.

We are curious to hear what will be going on at sunrise!
