Rotterdam wants to improve the city’s soundscape with trees and gravel paths
There is a growing awareness that sound is an important factor in people’s sense of comfort in public spaces, and this is reflected in the media.
The NRC recently published a nice report about Rotterdam, where we advise the municipality, together with Marcel Cobussen, professor of auditory culture at Leiden University, on how to improve the living environment not only physically but also acoustically.
