On June 7, our co-director Michiel Huijsman gave a presentation to geography students from Utrecht University about urban sound design of urban public landscapes, and specifically about sound planning of the Hofbogenpark in Rotterdam.
Listening walk
Afterwards, the students went out to listen to an urban environment themselves. In small groups, the students made a listening walk along four points where they carried out assignments aimed at attentive listening. Afterwards there was time to exchange about how the sound of the city is related to the geography and how it can be designed.
