Working with Communities in Wilrijk
Within Soundtrackcity, ample experience has been built up in recent years with listening to the world in collaboration with communities. The multi-year projects Urban Sound Lab, Sonic West and Crowdsourcing Mr Visserplein have played a major role in this. It is now increasingly common for municipalities to call on us to work with their residents. For example Michiel was recently asked to give a Workshop in Wilrijk, a borough of Antwerp where an intersection of roads will be transformed into a lee place. On 7 May, he gave a listening workshop there together with Geert Pymen. The results will feed into the new design of the place.
